Data LinkData Link is a software program for an IBM compatible personal computer that will read grain dryer information from a Compudry Command Center. It will display the dryer information, store it, and also make calculations for the number of samples transferred, moisture average of transferred samples, and total bushels dried. The program can also be configured for several different alarms, and will dial a phone number to alert you if something goes wrong.Data Link requires an IBM compatible personal computer with Windows XP operating system, a CD drive for loading the software, and about 5 MB of hard disk storage. It also requires an RS-232 port. These ports usually have 9 male pins. An optional USB port tp RS-232 converter is available for computers without an RS-232 port. A video resolution of 1024 x 768 works best for viewing the displays. A 25’ cable for connecting from the Command Center to the personal computer is provided. Maximum RS-232 cable length from the Command Center is approximately 100 feet. |

To use the alarm calling feature, the personal computer must also have a modem installed and must be connected to a telephone line. For alarm messages to be heard, the modem must be a “voice” modem. A “data/fax” modem will usually dial out, but no alarm message will be heard. |
Low Level Grain Drying Control BoxThis control is used to keep the grain level between two limit switches in a grain drying bin. The grain is supplied from a wet holding tank. The control will turn on a horizontal feed auger and an inclined fill auger when the drying bin requires grain. When the top limit is reached, the control will shut off the horizontal feed auger and clean out the inclined fill auger. The augers will stay off until grain falls below the low limit. The motor starters and heater strips for the two augers are ordered separately with the same numbers as those used for the Compudry Command Center. |

Diaphragm LGSO(Low Grain Shut Off), 630F-001AThe Diaphragm LGSO will detect and activate a switch when grain level is present. It is built to mount on the inside of a bin wall. The diaphragm is perpendicular to the bin wall to minimize wear on the diaphragm due to spreading grain. It is also built with the diaphragm tilted down to decrease wear on it and also to prevent a buildup of material from activating it. Two small air holes are in the bottom of the housing to allow air movement in and out of the diaphragm area. It is critical that these holes remain open for proper operation at all temperature extremes and air pressures. [Top]

Rotation DetectorThe Rotation Detector will monitor any rotating shaft or pulley and will activate a relay if the rotation speed is outside the pre-programmed limits. It is normally installed and wired to start monitoring when a motor is started. If the sensor does not pick up a signal from a magnet mounted on the equipment, a relay will be activated which will shut the motor down. A 2-second time delay is used to prevent nuisance shutdowns. It is very easy to install the Rotation Detector with a Compudry Command Center.A unique feature of the Shivvers Rotation Detector is that it will flash the indicator light for 5 minutes if it was the Rotation Detector that shut the equipment off. This saves valuable time when troubleshooting why the system was shut down. Mounting bracket kits are available for common Shivvers auger configurations. Most of the time one of these kits can be modified for use in other applications. [Top] |

Command Center PrinterThe printer gives you a copy of all activities performed by the Command Center, such as grain moisture, grain temperature, plenum temperature, machine-on times, date and clock, etc.Advantage: Accuracy is the word today. You don’t want to hear about “almost” or “kind of close” ... you want and need accuracy. The Command Center operates precisely, but you don’t have time to sit and watch the computer screen to know every move it makes. That’s the advantage of the printer. It records all the Command Center activities, so you can evaluate them as you have the time. This will allow you to know how to make adjustments to “fine tune” your dryer. [Top]

Auxiliary Timer KitThis timer kit controls all Continuous Flow and Auxiliary Augers connected to the Compudry Command Center. When the Low Grain Shut-Off shuts the system down, the augers set to automatic will run for the time delay set by this timer. Sequence TimerThe use of Sequence Timers allows you to customize the on times for multiple transfer augers. (Use one Sequence Timer for each additional transfer auger used after the first one.) |

Command Center Expansion BoxThe Command Center Expansion Box, part # 641-001A, is an optional control box used with the CompuDry Command Center when there are more than four total continuous flow and auxiliary augers to be controlled. The expansion box will accept up to four more motor starters. If more than eight total augers need to be controlled, another expansion box can be added by also purchasing a 641-053A Dual Motor Harness Assembly. The motor starters and heater strips are ordered separately with the same numbers as those used for the Command Center. If all four motor starter spaces are used, a 641H-001A Auxiliary Sequence Timer cannot be added in the box, but could be added in the Command Center to control all four starters in the 641N-001A Expansion Box (some rewiring, consult the factory). If up to three motor starter spaces are used, one or two Auxiliary Sequence Timers can be added to the 641N-001A Expansion Box. [Top]

Dial ThermometerThis long stem thermometer mounts with the probe into the plenum chamber to give an actual temperature reading of the plenum. Advantage: Monitoring plenum temperatures allows the dryer operator to confirm the plenum temperature. Static Pressure GaugeUsed to measure back pressure in the plenum area of the bin. Advantage: Depending upon which style of fan and heater you use to dry, a static pressure measurement is important. Knowing the static pressure in the plenum can tell the operator the grain depth that works to obtain the best quality, efficiency and capacity. [Top] |

Motor Load MonitorThe 630G-001A Motor Load Monitor Kit provides a normally closed contact which opens when the load on a motor drops below a certain level for a selectable time delay (1-100 seconds). It could also be used to detect an overload on a motor but that feature is not normally used. The kit was originally designed to be used in a Low Level Control Box (630C-001A) for shutting down augers when the wet storage tank ran out of grain. It may have other applications such as monitoring motor loads on transfer augers. The load monitor can be used with 240 volt, single phase motors up to 10 hp. It can be used with 240 volt, 3 phase motors up to 15 hp, or 460 volt, 3 phase motors up to 30 hp. Contact the factory for other applications. The load monitor requires a 120 volt control voltage. The current transformer supplied with this kit is rated for 50 amps maximum. [Top]
